Through 2025 2026 the company collaborates on a research project “Filmer le Geste Chorégraphique” with the film maker and theatre director Bartek Sozanski funded by the Manufacture, Montpellier 3 Universities and Ecole et Culture Geneva. Théâtre du Grütli will welcome a new creation by Trefeli and Sozanski in the 2026-2027 season under the working title “7”, currently looking for coproductions and pre-sales.

Recent projects include presenting “Chameleon” at the Théâtre du Galpon from 16 to 26 January 2025 and in Poschiavo on 1 February 2025. “Chameleon” has been supported by residencies at the Théâtre du Marché aux Grains in Bouxwiller, France, Riverbero Poschiavo and the Dampfzentrale Theatre in Berne and ‘creation in residence’ in schools, with École et Culture. At the same time József is in conversation with Alexander Andriyashkin in the online residency ON/OFF 2024 developing a new project “Museum of the Naked King“ with its first showing to an audience in Brussels. “Bloom“, co-choreography co-created with Diya Naidu developed at Play Practice Bengaluru India in October/November 2024. In 2024 József Trefeli became a Fellow of the New York Bogliasco Foundation.

At the same time, the films developed through the pandemic are being sent out to find their audience. “Miguel” by Susana Panadés Diaz is presented in the SFDFF San Francisco Dance Film Festival, the SSF Sans Souci Festival Colorado and Wilddogs Festival with an Honorable Mention.

“Father Father” by József Trefeli, edited by Rudi van der Merwe, made the official selection in multiple film festivals including the 2025 the London International Screen Dance Festival, Melbourne Dance(Lens) Film Festival, Harrogate White Rose International Film Festival, International Competition shnit worldwide shortsfestival, and the Eastern Europe Film Festival receiving laurels for Best Short Film.
